AC Milan's left flank has two world class players: winger Rafael Leao and full-back Theo Hernandez. They certainly represent the majority of the offensive force that Stefano Pioli relies on in the attacking phase. The right flank, however, needs reinforcement in order to create an even stronger team with more balance to it.
This is why, according to what is reported in this morning's print edition of the daily Turin-based newspaper, Tuttosport, AC Milan continue to pursue the signature of 29-year-old Morocco international Hakim Ziyech. The Chelsea player was followed by the Serie A champions for some time in the summer. But, eventually, the Italians decided to invest in Charles De Ketelaere instead.
The source claims today that Ziyech will decide his future after the World Cup. But this time, his farewell to Chelsea appears very likely. The feeling is that the Chelsea board have finally caved in and decided to let him go on loan with an option to buy, after refusing several requests.
