AC Milan's legendary former coach, Arrigo Sacchi, also approves of Hakim Ziyech as a potential signing for the Rossoneri club. Here are his words to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport:
"He has great technique and speed. When he was at Ajax I thought he could become a champion, but he has slowed him down, as seen at Chelsea. He is player of notable qualities, but you need the mentality here too."
He added:
"Thanks to the club and its history. Anyone who is signed by Milan must be grateful...Those who have left have often struggled. Think of Kaka and Shevchenko."
Sacchi on how Milan can play with Hakim Ziyech:
"He can be in all 3 positions behind the striker. He has the qualities to adapt. The important thing is that he has enthusiasm and motivation, modern football is a collective of intelligences. Upon my arrival at Milan , a highly rated defender didn't behave properly, so I asked Berlusconi to sell him. I bet on his reserve, perhaps less technically strong but much more reliable. I see the man first, then the footballer."
