The official AC Milan club channel interviewed Fikayo Tomori in Dubai. He was first asked about his feelings to training in Dubai and the differences given the weather etc.

"It's a good restart in general after a small break. We are happy and ready to train. Obviously, the weather is different from Milan. So, we are happy to be here. We are tired a little, but we are happy to be here."

The break was longer than usual, how did it feel for you?

"I took some time off, got some work done and found time to rest. We can't do much when the season is set up this way, but we have to be ready for the upcoming games next year. Personally, I can't wait for the first match of the new year and for the season to restart."

Tomori added:

"Bennacer and Bakayoko are back with the group after the break and even some players who returned from the World Cup, so we are ready and excited."

How did it feel to reunite with the team after one month?

"I don't exactly remember how long it's been, but obviously it's nice to have some time off to rest and recuperate. Now, it's time to get back to work in order to be ready for the first match in the new year. As I said before, we are a little worn out after the long flight (to Dubai). When we resume training later today. I'm quite certain all of us will be excited to get back to it."

AC Milan will face Arsenal and Liverpool in the Dubai Super Cup. This is probably the best way to prepare for the resumption of the season...

"Yes, obviously we are fully aware that Arsenal are doing great things in the English Premier League and I'm familiar with a couple of Arsenal and Liverpool players. Playing against two such teams is the best way for us to prepare because they are two strong squads and this is how we regain rhythm and also our winning mentality."

Tomori concluded:

"This allows us to discover aspects which need to be improved and worked on in our game before our first official game after the break. I'm eager to play, even with this hot weather."
