AC Milan are still always hoping to unlock the renewal issue with Rafael Leao and his entourage. The Rossoneri club considers the renewal of the contract expiring in 2024 a priority. Rafa has sent messages which, however, have not reassured the environment . The negotiation remains complex both for the 20 million that the former Lille must pay to Sporting Lisbon and for the great interest aroused among the top European clubs, as per Calciomercato.com.
The source adds that AC Milan's first offer to Leao was around 6 million euros net per season: it is a figure that is certainly important but still considered far from the ideas of the entourage of the Portuguese international. That's why Maldini and Massara are evaluating a raise to reach 7 million euros net per season.
A final decision will be taken over the next few days, but in any case, the AC Milan directors have every intention to work harder and make a significant effort in an attempt to keep Leao happy at the San Siro.
