Reportedly, AC Milan have an agreement in place with 30-year-old Italian goalkeeper of Atalanta Marco Sportiello. The agreement between parties would see the former Fiorentina man join the Rossoneri as a free agent next summer.
In the last few hours, however, an idea emerged, some reports are claiming that the club management could try to anticipate Sportiello's arrival in January due to the physical difficulties of Mike Maignan. Today, this is confirmed by Tuttosport.
Signing the shotstopper in question, however, is not an easy task and the reason is not economic, but rather technical. In fact, Sportiello leaving in January would create a hole in Atalanta's squad. The Bergamo-based club will have some time to think about the decision, but they are in no hurry to get rid of Juan Musso's deputy.
