AC Milan club directors, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, continue to work on the contract renewal front as Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer's contracts both expire in June 2024 and they are key members of Stefano Pioli's system.
On the talks between AC Milan Ismael Bennacer's camp...
According to what has been reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, In the meeting on Wednesday afternoon, the Rossoneri management discussed a new offer with the player's agent Enzo Raiola. Bennacer currently earns 1.6 million euros net per season and he would like a salary at around 4 million euros in the new deal. The Italian club, for its part, would only get close to this figure with the inclusion of some bonuses linked to the Champions League competition. Given Theo Hernandez's salary which is around what Bennacer's asking for, the club does not want to go any higher than this offer.
The parties involved are not too far from each other in terms of offer and demand and there is some optimism. In the new agreement, a release clause should also be confirmed , already existing in the current contract and now set at around 50 million. The amount of the future clause is still to be discussed and defined.

On AC Milan's talks with Rafael Leao's entourage for the renewal...
Rafael Leao 's situation is more intricate. His lawyer, Ted Dimvula, will return to Milan in January 2023 for a new meeting with Milan, after the one he had last October.
Leao feels good at the Rossoneri and would like to stay, but at the same time he is asking the club for an important economic effort, due to the fine he will have to pay to Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon.
