Rafael Leao's renewal is yet to be a sure thing for the AC Milan management. Nothing is agreed yet with the player's camp, unfortunately for the Italians. The Portuguese has a contract valid until June 2024. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara want to keep him happy at the club for a few more years beyond the deadline in the contract.
According to what is reported by Mundo Deportivo, the management, in order to hold back the Portuguese star left-winger has decided to succumb to the demands of Rafael Leao: raising their offer despite the salary cap ceiling set by the club.
The latest calls to Casa Milan from the top European clubs would have stirred the waters so as not to lose the number 17 in the next transfer market sessions. As per the report, the club would be willing to help Rafael make a compensation to Sporting Lisbon.
