Endrick, a sixteen-year-old Brazilian starlet, who is a young centre-forward with plenty of potential has signed for Real Madrid recently. Currently he is on loan at his Bravzilian club and will join Los Blancos in the summer of 2024.
According to what is reported by The Athletic who reported details of the negotiations that saw the player sign with Real Madrid, the player's agents started sending videos of Endrick's highlights to many European clubs in October 2021 as he was producing heavily impressive performances as well as goals for Palmeiras’ under-17s and under-20s sides.
AC Milan, for their part, received the videos from the agents. But, they were not the only ones. In fact, FC Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain as well as Real Madrid did receive the same from his representatives.
Scouts from a host of interested clubs acted quickly, telling Endrick’s agency they would be watching him the following month at the Copinha, the Under-21 Copa Sao Paulo widely recognised as the country’s most prestigious youth tournament. Neymar, Casemiro, Marquinhos, Gabriel Jesus and Vinicius Junior are just some of the talents who have been discovered while playing in the competition.
Endrick's family was visited by Real madrid's chief scout. The player then chose to join Los Blancos. He had the opportunity to also meet former legendary striker Ronaldo Nazario, who also introduced him to Real Madrid's current coach Carlo Ancelotti. They spoke about Alexandre Pato, former Milan talent who had joined AC Milan at just 17 years old in 2007, when Ancelotti was in charge. The charismatic Italian coach told Endrick he should join him at Real, as they are the biggest club in world football.
