AC Milan faced too many problems on the pitch lately and the most recent loss against Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana fixture in Riyadh has perhaps created more issues to fix, mentally and tactically.
According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper in this morning's print edition, Milan will return to work tomorrow to prepare for the match against Maurizio Sarri's Lazio. The Rossoneri's boss Stefano Pioli is thinking of two or three options in order to change things around for his team, writes the source.
In fact, the red and black faithful could enter the pitch with one more physical midfielder or with another forward who would have to help Olivier Giroud. In the first case, it would be a 4-3-3 with Pierre Kalulu returning as a starter in the defence while Rade Krunic (who returns from injury) or Tommaso Pobega play with Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer in the middle of the pitch.
In the second case, the formation module would be a 4-4-2 with Alexis Saelemaekers and Rafael Leao on the wings while either one of Charles De Ketelaere or Divock Origi play next to Olivier Giroud up front. Let us know in the comments which solution do you prefer?
