AC Milan's mercato in the January transfer market window is slow. The only signing for the men's first team has been Devis Vasquez. However, there could be a reinforcement coming if the right opportunity presents itself (Zaniolo)
According to Il Corriere della Sera, the road that could lead Nicolò Zaniolo to Milan is becoming more complicated: between the red and black club and Roma, there is an important gap both on the transfer formula and on the attacker's value.
Now, the Rossoneri could be moving towards a different goal. The Italian newspaper CorSera explain that the owners, RedBird Capital Partners, (edit) prefer to sign Hakim Ziyech than spend money on Roma's Zaniolo. Signing the 23-year-old attacking midfielder would benefit two direct rivals: Roma and Inter (Inter have a 15% on a future resale).
Ziyech may be an easier target too as he can arrive on loan and would cost less than Zaniolo. Meanwhile, this young versatile defender is on AC Milan and Inter's radars and he could cost around 13 million euros.
