AC Milan's goalkeeper, Mike Maignan, is still working on a recovery as he edges closer to joining the rest of his teammates to try to help them out in this difficult period. Paolo Scaroni, president of the Rossoneri club, said a few weeks ago that the Frenchman would be available to face Tottenham in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 this February 14 at the San Siro. However, that is looking difficult right now (read interview here).
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Maignan's return could be further postponed for Tottenham-Milan in London on March 8. The calf exams he had in the last few hours revealed improvements, but it's clearly too early to see him back on the field. Milan also do not want to risk any new physical problems with the goalkeeper.
For now, though, Ciprian Tatarusanu will continue to be the first goalkeeper despite everything.
