The 1-0 victory against Torino was crucial for Milan, who aim to move past their crisis. But it was also an important night for Rafael Leao, whose future at the club remains a puzzle yet to be solved. With his contract set to expire on June 30, 2024, the Portuguese player has recently witnessed a series of developments that have not solved the renewal issue.

First, there was the confirmation of Pioli's new formation and system, which places Leao in a central role that doesn't allow him to shine as brightly as he did on the wing. Then, there were the comments of Milan's director of football, Paolo Maldini, who made it clear that negotiations with Leao's agents have not been solved yet (read his words here). Finally, there were Leao's own words, as he spoke out in defence of the team and its spirit, in the face of critics who seek to tarnish their image, he said on Instagram after the game: "It's incredible how they try to tarnish our image when we have painted such a beautiful picture... Fortunately, our team spirit is greater than all criticism."

Despite his public displays of loyalty, the problem remains that Leao's love for the Rossoneri has not translated into a new contract, as pointed out by Calciomercato.com. Milan's future and Leao's seem intertwined, but for now, the situation remains at a standstill. With no planned meetings in sight, the puzzle of Leao's future at Milan remains unsolved, leaving fans wondering what's next for the young talent.

In conclusion, despite the victory against Torino, the issues surrounding Rafael Leao's future at Milan remain unresolved. The player's loyalty to the club is evident, but his contract remains up in the air. As Milan fans look forward to the rest of the season, they can only hope that the puzzle of Leao's future will soon be solved, so that the young talent can continue to contribute to the team's success.
