AC Milan is determined not to part ways with Rafael Leao for a penny less than €100m, As per La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian side demonstrated their resolve when they rejected an offer from Chelsea for the Portuguese forward last year, declining the proposal without so much as a glance. With Leao's contract set to expire in 2024, negotiations on the pricetag are not welcome by the club directors. The Rossoneri's management is resolute about their €100m or thereabouts asking price and they are ready to get in pursuit of players who mirror Leao's traits, such as being under 25 years of age, and also being a skilled left-winger costing no more than €35m.
Noa Lang, a long-standing interest of AC Milan's technical director Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, is a player who could fit the bill. The Dutch winger, who plays on the left side, is famous for his trickery and has been labeled a "showman."
Although he confirmed Milan's interest in him in the past, Lang stayed with Club Brugge in Belgium, where he has seven goals and three assists in 23 games this season. Lang's contract runs out in 2025, and given his age, cost, and role, he could be the ideal substitute for Leao. However, this remains purely theoretical, and AC Milan still has half a year to identify their next acquisition.
