As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition, the Belgian playmaker Charles De Ketelaere has found himself in a rut since the AC Monza match. Head coach Stefano Pioli envisions him as an attacking midfield and the club managers have important aspirations for his 'revival'.
The former Club Brugge star needs a goal to unlock his potential and abilities. His teammate at AC Milan Rafael Leao encouraged him by saying "It will come."
For his part, the Rossoneri gaffer Pioli will continue to deploy him as an attacking midfielder, but he needs to show more personality on the field. In addition to that, the role of Diaz's substitute doesn't suit the Belgian so well. Therefore, Pioli tried to reduce the pressure on the starlet by playing him as a false nine, but it made little difference.
Those who know De Ketelaere say that he is generally introverted, tends to be quiet, but he is far from the standard of professional footballers. One notable fact is that he and his girlfriend Jozefien haven't posted anything on Instagram since November. This has nothing to do with football, however, the 21-year-old and Milan need to work together on his mental aspect rather than physical aspects. In conclusion, Milan aims to develop their jewel at Milanello and work on him further.
If an offer comes, it would be evaluated as always done in the football transfer market. But, it is not likely that anyone would offer more than the 32 million euros plus 3 million euros in bonuses which were paid in the summer by the Rossoneri management to Belgian outfit Club Brugge.
