AC Milan embarked the second half of the season with their sights firmly set on securing a spot in the coveted 2023-2024 Champions League competition and making an impact in it. As the Rossoneri look to build on their success, attention is already turning towards the all-important transfer market.
While the last winter transfer session saw little activity from the AC Milan club management, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will be anything but idle in the coming summer, according to reports. With their sights set on bolstering the squad of head coach Stefano Pioli for the upcoming campaign, the Rossoneri will be looking to make important and quality investments in the transfer market as they gear up for next season.

AC Milan's directors, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will be on the hunt for fresh talent to bolster the Rossoneri team and it seems that their sights are now on a Brazilian profile as a report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo suggests that the red and black club has joined the race to sign Vitor Roque, a talented 17-year-old left-footed striker from Athletico Paranaense. However, the Italian giants face fierce competition for his signature. In fact, cross city foes Inter are keen as well as La Liga heavyweights Atletico Madrid, Ligue 1 giants PSG and Premier League outfits Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham. The asking price is said to have reached a high fee: 35 to 40 million euros, therefore making negotiations a tricky and potentially drawn-out process for the Rossoneri.
Nevertheless, the AC Milan club directors must move quickly if they hope to secure their target and prepare for the future of their attacking department.
Roque has a contract with Club Athletico Paranaense until May 31, 2027. He managed to score 14 goals and provide 5 assists to his teammates in all of his appearances throughout the season.
