AC Milan is set to welcome back French goalkeeper Mike Maignan and Italian right-back Alessandro Florenzi for their next Serie A match against Atalanta, according to Il Corriere dello Sport and relayed by Pianeta Milan.
Seasoned striker Olivier Giroud, who's on a hot streak after scoring against Sassuolo and Torino, is also expected to start. However, veteran forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic may have to wait for his chance to play after being benched for two straight matches in the league.
Meanwhile, the AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli may not be able to deploy Davide Calabria and Ismael Bennacer, both of whom are still recovering from their respective injuries. The Rossoneri have their eyes fixed on their upcoming clash against Tottenham on March 8 in the Champions League and are hoping to test their returning players in the match against Fiorentina in eight days' time. The Milan captain and Algerian midfielder have been gradually working their way back to full fitness and are expected to feature in the upcoming matches. Bennacer last played a month ago, but is making good progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury.
