AC Milan won convincingly against Gian Piero Gasperini's Atalanta at the San Siro stadium. The result was 2-0, goals scored by Theo Hernandez and Junior Messias.
According to the ratings granted by La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition, Theo Hernandez was the man of the match. He contributed to the win yesterday with his offensive plays as he acted as a winger and launched a rocket of a shot that hit the post and the back of the goalkeeper then the net. He deservedly received a rating of 7.5.
With Theo Hernandez, there was also Malick Thiaw who was like a rock in the back and a certainty for Stefano Pioli in the defensive system. He also received a 7.5
Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori, Junior Messias, Rade Krunic and Sandro Tonali were all shown ratings of 7 for their valiant efforts.
AC Milan's duo, Brahim Diaz and Olivier Giroud were granted ratings of 6.5 while Mike Maignan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (both returned from a long stop yesterday) have received ratings of with the French goalkeeper not having been threatened much by La Dea's offensive plays. Charles De Ketelaere was also shown a 6 for his efforts.
The worst player on the pitch for the AC Milan team, however, was the Portuguese left-winger Rafael Leao. He contributed with avery good assist. But, he did miss a few chances as his decision making was not the best and he did receive a yellow card for protesting against the referee's decision which disqualifies him from participating in the next game against Fiorentina.
