It appears that AC Milan is yet to arrive at a conclusive decision regarding the future of Aster Vranckx, according to the latest report shared by Calciomercato.com.
The Belgian footballer has only had a mere 153 minutes of playtime in the current season and has been absent from the field for the past two months. Furthermore, it seems that Stefano Pioli, the team's coach, has opted to select Timouè Bakayoko over Vranckx in two recent situations, which could be construed as an unfavourable indication. Nonetheless, the management remains convinced of Vranckx's potential, despite everything.
Regarding the matter at hand, it appears that there still remains a possibility that AC Milan will retain Vranckx. Frederic Massara, the team's Director of Football, has adopted a strategy of waiting until the conclusion of the season and subsequently renegotiating the figure initially agreed upon with Wolfsburg, which amounts to approximately 12 million euros.
The situation differs concerning American full-back Sergino Dest, however. In fact, he is slated to return to his parent club FC Barcelona upon the season's end. AC Milan, for their part, have no intention of exercising the buy-option for the former Ajax talent, which was established at a cool 20 million euros.
