A precise decision made some time ago and that will soon become official, points out Calciomercato.com. In fact, Marco Sportiello has chosen to join AC Milan and will join Stefano Pioli's squad on a free transfer starting from July. It was the Italian coach who was the main figure pushing in favour of this operation because he knows the 1992 class goalkeeper well, having worked with him at Fiorentina in the 2017-18 season.
Sportiello's future is set to be tied to the Rossoneri for the next three seasons, with a contract worth approximately 500 thousand euros per season. The goalkeeper's arrival heralds the end of Tatarusanu's spell at the San Siro, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the current season. The Romanian's deal will actually not be renewed by the AC Milan club directors.
