AC Milan's head coach, Stefano Pioli, has spoken to the media in view of tomorrow's Champions League clash at the San Siro for the first leg of the quarter-final against Napoli. Here are his words:
Will there be balance tomorrow?
"I think so, but tomorrow everything will be different. It's a 180-degree challenge. We have to play a great game."
Pioli, Would you sign up for a 1-0 victory tomorrow?
"We have to focus on playing a great game."
What does Milan need tomorrow?
"Attention is crucial. We can't lower our level because it would be risky."
Pioli continued:
"The league is a different story. We have shown that we are up to the level of the Champions League. We have to give our best, be focused."
A Dreamer or a realist?
"With the strength of our dreams, we won the championship. So dreaming is good for us."
Pioli added:
"Our fans will give us the boost we need."
Will you feel less pressure than Napoli tomorrow?
"I don't think so, we are talking about the Champions League and our dreams. We are calm because we have prepared well, we have to play with our enthusiasm. Both teams will be charged. Reaching the semifinals would be beautiful."
What do you fear from Napoli?
"They are the team that has scored the most goals in this Champions League. We are down to eight teams and they are all strong, but we have prepared well."
Will you play like you did ten days ago in the league?
"We start from 0-0, I expect balanced matches. We have prepared well, and we also expect something different from them."
What would it be like to play against a false nine?
Why have you had so many ups and downs this year?
"The only thing that matters is Milan tomorrow. Then at the end of the season, we will evaluate. The season is still long and important. The ending will determine the positivity of our work."
