AC Milan's technical area director, Paolo Maldini, had these words to say to the microphones of Mediaset Infinity minutes before kick-off between Milan - Napoli in the Champions League quarter-finals first leg at the San Siro:
"The atmosphere is magical, it hasn't been here for a few years and we are super happy. We are proud of our journey but also hopeful to continue on and give even more dreams. The challenge of the league has allowed us to return to a level that we haven't always reached in the last three months, then this is a double challenge with other men and motivations."
Stefano Pioli did speak about dreams yesterday...
"Dreams are part of Milan's technical and moral baggage, we have a team that has not yet expressed its maximum level. Ours is a young squad, and for their future, the players must live these emotions and these dreams."
Maldini on the renewal negotiations with Rafael Leao:
"Confidence is growing, but today it is not the right topic. Today we are on the same path, Leao and us, so we have a common goal."
Is the dispute with Luciano Spalletti closed?
"I do not want to comment on this. He has already done it himself and, for what is right for me, he has also done it by speaking too much."
