Former AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta spoke to Bobo TV on Twitch to comment on the match between Milan and Napoli in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals. Here are his words:
"Let's start from the beginning of the game: for me, after 5 minutes, Milan had to change their game plan because with the build-up from the back, after 4 minutes, they could have conceded 3 goals. I think they had prepared to draw Napoli out and then then play over them, but they had to change it. They let Tomori start from the left and he gave away two or three balls while they were open. It was a game where the defensive phases were better than the offensive ones for both teams... I think for Milan to fully recover, they need to regain their build-up from the back that they had last year, which was better. Now they've lost it a bit."
On Rafael Leao, Nesta said:
"He gave me that feeling of suffering too. The coach, his teammates, and the fans need to learn to accept those 20 minutes of rest because he's a player who, in the end, can change the game for you. I'm learning to accept it, sometimes it made me nervous. Now, instead, I know that 25 minutes is painful, but after that..."
