Antonio Cassano has criticised Portuguese winger Rafael Leao once again in a statement through BoboTV on Twitch.
He compared Leao to other players he has played with, such as Kakà and Ronaldinho, who were truly devastating on the field. Cassano expressed his doubts about Leao's abilities and highlighted his lack of consistency and impact on the team.
The former AS Roma, AC Milan, and Inter player also questioned Leao's performance in previous matches and suggested that he wouldn't have fared well in Nesta's Milan team. Here are his words:
"Leao devastating ? Sandro (Nesta) and I were fortunate enough to play with players who really were devastating. For example, a player who drove me crazy was Kaka: in these matches, I remember the goal against Celtic, he made the difference. Leao, even the other day against Napoli, made two dashes but I always have a question mark. I remember Ronaldinho at Barcelona, they left him wide on the left and every time they gave him the ball, he scored, assisted, made a play. Leao has to do that every time he gets the ball if he really is a phenomenon. In five years at Milan, Leao scored 34 goals: I'm convinced that if he played in Nesta's Milan, if he didn't run, they would catch him and hang him against the wall. Ronaldinho made you win games, I've only seen four good months from Leao in five years. I have the impression that you want to make him pass as a superstar... I don't like him."
