AC Milan are trying hard to reach an agreement for the contract renewal of Portuguese left-winger Rafael Leao, but in the meantime, La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper has reported on the issue related to the controversy the player has with Sporting Lisbon, in order to close the matter that dates back to 2018.
In recent weeks, the Portuguese club has made economic demands that go beyond the judgments expressed so far in various forums. According to Portuguese courts and the TAS itself, in fact, the player and Lille still owe Sporting 16.5 million euros, to which interest and legal fees add up to a total of 22 million euros. However, in Lisbon, they have started a lawsuit for damages that would bring the amount to a staggering 45 million euros (the Portuguese refer to the amount of the clause agreed at the time), as relaye by Milannews.it.
