Ahead of facing Inter in the Champions League first leg of the semi-final, AC Milan's Sandro Tonali granted an interview to Amazon Prime Video. Here are his statements:

"The Semi-final? I think it's a bit of a summary of what we have done together with the coach over these years. Thoughts on the derby? It came immediately, it's difficult not to think about it. The fans have given us incredible strength in these years. All the 75,000 people who come to San Siro give everything to try to bring you to victory: you have to do your best to bring it to your fans. It's quite an experience that after 16 years we have reached the semifinals. Now that we're here, we have to do our best to make this audio (Piccinini says: 'Milan is in the final') heard again by a boy in twenty years. Willing to do something in case of a final? Nothing. If we win, something... We have time to think about it", declared Tonali.

On family:

"My grandmother, I believe, is the person I am most attached to in my family. I grew up with her, I can't spend much time with her and she follows me a lot even though she is not a Milan fan. But she loves me and now I have started to make her love Milan too."

On Pioli, Tonali said:

"The coach is someone I owe a lot to because he helped me in my most difficult moment. It's important to have someone like him with you, who communicates with you often, makes you feel at ease and sometimes risks himself to make you feel good. It only takes a second after a year to decide not to redeem a player. He gave his opinion of me and his stature was felt."

On his role:

"I don't have a fixed role and I don't like having one. I am available to the team choices made by the coach."
