The AC Milan transfer market window has heated up. Since the news of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara's departure, the Rossoneri club has reached an agreement with Newcastle for the transfer of Sandro Tonali and has signed Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is leaving Chelsea. While they will continue to seek reinforcements, especially in the midfield and attack departments, there are also plans at Casa Milan to offload unwanted players from Pioli's squad.
Sandro Tonali's departure, which has not yet been officially announced, came as a bolt from the blue for Milan fans who did not expect the departure of one of the team's top players. However, Furlani and Moncada could not say no to a financially significant offer and have already begun to strengthen the team with the proceeds from Sandro's departure.
What Milan supporters can be sure of is that Tonali should be the only high-profile departure. As reported by MilanNews.it, no other key Rossoneri players are at risk, particularly Maignan, Theo, and Kalulu, who have attracted interest from other clubs. The situation is different for Charles De Ketelaere: for the Belgian, no negotiations are planned, but if an important offer were to arrive, at least 28 million euros to avoid making a loss, AC Milan would seriously consider it.
Sales may still happen though regarding players who are not included in Pioli's technical project and his vision. In the offensive department, Ante Rebic and Divock Origi are on the transfer list after a disappointing season. The problem is finding the right offer that can convince not only Milan but especially the players who have significant salaries which weigh heavily on the balance sheet.
As per Milan News, offers from Turkish clubs arrived for the two attackers. However, for now, neither the Croatian nor the Belgian are convinced of a transfer. Similarly, Fodé Ballo-Touré is also heading for an exit: the Senegalese, who has not fully convinced as Theo Hernandez's deputy in two seasons, has attracted interest from Fulham and Hoffenheim. If the right agreement is reached, Adli could also leave, while a loan solution is more likely for Gabbia and Colombo.
