AC Milan are interested in signing Christian Pulisic. But, negotiations with Chelsea are still ongoing.
According to The Athletic, Pulisic has good relationships with Ruben Loftus Cheek who just joined the Italians as well as his former teammates Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud. The American can't help but notice how his old friends thrived in Italy as they won a Scudetto trophy and went on to reach the Champions League semi-finals.
The Rossoneri's gaffer has driven AC Milan's interest in the player and has a tactical role for him to fill: the former Firoentina and Inter coach wants to deploy Pulisic as a number 10, it is a role that he has "frequently shone at international level but has rarely been trusted to play for Chelsea and previous club Borussia Dortmund."
As per the source, Pioli holds such an appreciation for Pulisic and has a detailed plan for how to maximise his talents.
The former Borussia Dortmund, for his part, is willing to take a paycut compared to his lucrative Chelsea salary. He is not going to let wage demands be an obstacle to an agreement with the club he wants to join. Above all, his desire to leave Chelsea is founded on wanting to play regularly and feel important to a team again. It is hard to imagine a better destination than AC Milan to help him become, at club level, the kind of talisman that USMNT have relied upon for years.
AC Milan, however, must improve their offer to Chelsea in order to be able to sign Pulisic. Let's seee if a deal can be found with the Blues.
