AC Milan continue to push for the signing of Yunus Musah, but a deal is not done yet with Valencia. The American player's sale is the club's top priority and negotiations have been ongoing with the Italians. But, no agreement has been found yet.
According to Relevo, talks have resumed lately with Valencia, but no formal offer was made. There was mutual feedback, and different scenarios for Yunus's transfer to Italy were considered, not only involving money. Despite this, the deal remains unsealed, and Valencia is still determined to receive approximately 25 million euros for the player.
As a result, Milan's dream of taking the New Yorker on their preseason tour in the United States seems to be fading. The Rossoneri will head to America tomorrow, and unless they significantly change their last offer to Valencia, it is not likely that they can come to an agreement very soon.
Yunus Musah will therefore be traveling to Switzerland with Valencia for the pre-season preparations. He has been included in the squad list unlike some other players such as Samu Castillejo. Valencia doesn't hide its intention to sell the player, but they also make it clear that they won't give him away and will keep him until someone offers what the club owner, Peter Lim, asks for him. The club doesn't want to devalue their asset, so they take him to Switzerland. However, it's uncertain how many minutes he will get on the field, as he wasn't part of the squad in the first preseason friendly.
Talks between Valencia and Milan are ongoing, but in Mestalla, they don't see the agreement as being close yet. In Italy, there's more optimism, and they hope that sooner or later, Valencia will give in and accept the near 20 million euros (including bonuses) that Milan is willing to put on the table.
