Besiktas have an agreement with AC Milan for Ante Rebic and it was finally reached yesterday. After focusing mainly on new signings, some departures will take place.
As Tuttosport writes today, the operation that will see Rebic go to Turkey with Besiktas is not so much important for the income that will be credited to the Rossoneri coffers (only 500,000 euros), but rather for the savings on the player's wages. With his 3.5 million euros net per season, the Croatian was one of the highest-earning players at Milan. His transfer, therefore, provides some relief to the wage bill at Casa Milan and allows more maneuverability for new signings: it's no coincidence that the Musah deal has been unblocked right after the agreement with Besiktas for Ante. Now, the Turks seem to have taken a liking to it and are also pursuing Junior Messias, another player leaving Milan, especially after a few acquisitions in his position. Furlani and the transfer team are trying to gather some funds from the transfer fee, with Torino having been interested in the player for some time.
In addition to that, AC Milan are also looking for buyers for Divock Origi. His first, and likely only, season at AC Milan was a flop, and the Belgian was not called up to go the USA with the rest of the team. He also has a hefty wage, making it challenging to find a suitable solution for him. Additionally, there are departures in the form of Mattia Caldara and Marko Lazetic, who were also left out of the friendly tour in USA.
The situation is slightly different for Charles De Ketelaere, who traveled to Los Angeles but will clearly fall down the pecking order under Pioli if he remains. For this reason, the 2001-born Belgian is also considered transferable: he will leave if there is an offer deemed appropriate. Finally, Lorenzo Colombo could also say goodbye, with Milan ready to turn their attention to Veliz.
