After the tour in USA, Stefano Pioli will return today to Milanello in order to continue the last two weeks of preparation before gettingback to serious competition in the league. These two weeks will also be a time when Pioli needs to best integrate the eight new acquisitions, potentially almost all starters.
AC Milan lost the three friendlies, one of which came through a penalty shootout against rivals Juventus. Therefore, certain doubts have emerged especially regarding the defensive aspect, an area where no signings have been made this summer.
Before the match against Bologna, Pioli will have to play four friendlies ahead of him including one against Monza. These two weeks, therefore, will serve to get to know Samuel Chukwueze, Noah Okafor and Yunus Musah well as they have not participated in the USA tour.
Their debuts are expected against Monza, but Coach Pioli will need to skillfully test everything within the new tactical framework of the 4-3-3 formation.
