AC Milan have made important acquisitions this summer to bolster the team of Stefano Pioli. However, a department which was not touched by the Furlani-Moncada duo is the defence. In fact, the team struggled a lot defensively last season and also during the summer friendlies. That is why an intervention to add a fresh body in the centre-back position may be possible.
According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club management remain interested in Andrew Omobamidele who is a 21-year-old Irish centre-back currently plying his trade for Norwich City in the English Championship. The player's contract with his club is valid until the summer of 2026 and stands at 188 centimetres tall.
The English are not willing to part ways with their jewel so easily. They are asking for an important fee of 15 million euros. However, AC Milan could try to make the deal, but in the winter transfer window and not during these summer weeks.
