AC Milan management was racing against time to secure a transfer of a new striker after failing to secure Mehdi Taremi's arrival. According to what was reported by the Relevo website, the Rossoneri tried to sign Mariano Diaz before choosing Luka Jovic. However, the former Real Madrid and Olympique Lyon striker joined Sevilla instead.
The Italians, therefore, settled on the choice of Jovic, another former Real Madrid talent. He came for free from Fiorentina. La Viola, actually, did not even take a percentage on any future resale. Jovic signed a one-year contract with an option for three more if both parties decide to continue together.
AC Milan, during the summer transfer window which has just ended, tried to sign Juan Miranda from Real Betis. The 23-year-old Spaniard is a talented left-back. The Rossoneri tried to include Alexis Saelemaekers in a swap deal. However, an agreement could not be found with Real Betis due to a significant difference in the players' estimation. It is now likely that Betis will renew the contract of their full-back, which expires in June 2024.
