The Nigerian right-winger of AC Milan, Samuel Chukwueze, now with his national team, spoke to 'Football Fans Tribe' about his move to the Rossoneri club from Villarreal. Here are his words:
"The coach asks me to speak in Italian, I have a teacher and I'm slowly learning."
What convinced you to go to AC Milan? Chukwueze said:
"I also spoke with Victor (Osimhen), who has been in Italy for a few years. He told me to come, and that Milan is a good club. In the summer, fans were writing to me everywhere 'Milan, Milan, Milan'. When fans want you so much, when they say they need you, then you seriously consider it. They were so happy to see me."
He added:
"The fans wanted me, but of course, the coach was also important, he made me understand that I was wanted. The coach called me to convince me. There was a balance between the two things, I felt wanted. When I arrived and there were fans at the airport, it was fantastic."
Chukwueze concluded:
"They (the fans) followed me everywhere when I had to do the medical examinations, they were always there for me."
