Today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport analysed the AC Milan squad as well as Inter on the occasion of the derby. Both teams are worth over one billion euros combined. In particular, the Rossoneri squad is worth aound 550.2 million euros while the Nerazzurri's worth is at 549.2 million euros.
Regarding AC Milan, few clubs in the world have such an important duo like Rafael Leao, Mike Maignan, and Theo Hernandez. They are the three Milan players who are worth the most: 100 million for the Portuguese, 70 for the French goalkeeper, and 65 for the former Real Madrid full-back. The value of the Rossoneri squad was further boosted by the summer arrivals: from Loftus-Cheek to Pulisic, from Reijnders to Chukwueze. In addition to increasing the value of the Devil, the new signings have also allowed for greater depth in the squad.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the symbol of the club on Via Aldo Rossi is Malick Thiaw: bought for just 8.5 million from Schalke 04 in the summer of 2022, the German defender is now worth three times as much and has become a key player in Stefano Pioli's team. Not bad for someone who a year ago was the last option among Milan's central defenders. And it doesn't end here because Thiaw still has plenty of room for improvement. The 22-year-old promises to grow even further.
