AC Milan's coach, Stefano Pioli, is putting on the final touches today on the tactical setup before facing the city bitter rivals Inter.
Pioli's decision is to start with Simon Kjaer in defence, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. With Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu unavailable, the only real option is the Dane defender because the young Marco Pellegrino has only arrived recently from Argentina and has yet to get used to Italian football and gain more experience in less complicated games. That is why it's an easy choice for Pioli to go with Kjaer from the first minute as the centre-back.
As for the attack, Olivier Giroud will be starting as he has recovered from the ankle injury. He is not yet at 100%, but he has resumed group training sessions and therefore should be available to face the Nerazzurri.
The former Chelsea player will still be in the starting lineup because his alternatives, Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor, are not yet ready to replace Olivier in such an important match (the Serbian had his first training session in Rossoneri colours on Tuesday, while Noah Okafor has only played a few minutes so far).
