To reinforce the defensive area of the squad, AC Milan managers are interested in signing the 19-year-old Italian central defender of Atalanta Giorgio Scalvini.

As per Sport Italia, the Rossoneri managers could sacrifice the card of Pierre Kalulu in order to sign Scalvini. Kalulu, in fact, is wanted by some important teams in the Premier League as well as Bayern Munich from the Bundesliga. AC Milan could try to sell him for a significant fee and then re-invest that amount of money in the transfer of Scalvini from Atalanta to their side.
It will not be an easy operation, however, as Atalanta value their starlet at a whopping 50 million euros and it would be a difficult negotiation to reduce the price tag. In addition to that, Inter are reportedly also keen.
For their part, besides the money from Pierre Kalulu's sale, Milan is prepared to offer a double swap deal to Atalanta. The Rossoneri are willing to include Tommaso Pobega, who appreciated by coach Gian Piero Gasperini, and Lorenzo Colombo, who is currently on loan to Monza and has been in good form.
After Charles De Ketelaere, another talented attacker like Colombo could leave Milan for Bergamo. We will have to wait and see how things develop, but the strategy of the club seems to be taking shape: Giorgio Scalvini remains Milan's summer dream for the future of its defence.
The right-footed talent stands at 194 centimetres. His contract runs until June 2027 and he can even play as a defensive midfielder if required. He already played around 780 minutes this season between the Serie A and Europa League competitions (10 matches) and he scored 1 goal in the European competition.
