As AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni said in recent days, the project for the new Rossoneri stadium in San Donato Milanese is only at the beginning, but there is already talk about some details, such as the naming rights.
Tuttosport reports this morning that the first recipient of the contacts should be Fly Emirates, which is a sponsor of Milan and already gives its name to another major European stadium, namely Arsenal's in London.
Since the process is just beginning, there is still nothing concrete or official, but the issue of naming rights will be crucial as it must bring in several million euros into the coffers of the club.
The AC Milan club wants to leverage the location of the stadium between the A1 and the ring road, and therefore whoever links their name to the new home of Milan will have a lot of visibility.
But before getting to that, as reported by the Italian newspaper, there are other steps: the first will be in front of the San Donato Municipality, which must analyse the proposal for a change to the zoning plan presented by the AC Milan management. It will then be essential to continue the dialogue with the Lombardy Region for the issue of traffic: new motorway junctions, strengthening of railways, shuttles and the metro.
