AC Milan is increasingly inclined to leave the San Siro area and move to the San Francesco area of San Donato Milanese with its new stadium, where, in the club's hopes, the first match will be played in the 2028/29 season. This will be possible if construction begins in 2025.
Today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals some details about the new Rossoneri facility. The shape will most likely be characterized by an ovalized rectangle, with squared long sides and rounded curves. There will be two rings and the stands should be very close to the field and as vertical as possible. Each sector will have its own space for disabled people, unlike the Meazza where only some offer the service.
The capacity, as is well known for some time, will be 70,000 spectators. The roof will not cover the field, which will not be retractable either. In the area surrounding the structure, there will be stores, a museum, a hotel, and the club's new headquarters, but also an arena-theater with approximately 3,000-4,000 seats to host concerts and theatrical performances.
