From Club Brugge, the jewel in AC Milan's 2022/2023 transfer campaign arrived, Charles De Ketelaere, acquired for the significant sum of 36.5 million euros. According to what Radio Rossonera claimed, regarding to the draft budget approved by Milan's last Board of Directors and which will be submitted to the shareholders for deliberation during the Assembly on October 23, the expenditure was also substantial in terms of commissions to the Belgian agent. For the transfer, Charles De Ketelaere's entourage earned 2.8 million euros from Milan.
In this particular ranking, second place goes to Divock Origi: arriving on a free transfer after being released from Liverpool, the Belgian cost Milan 495,000 euros in terms of fees to his agents. For the second most expensive acquisition of the Rossoneri's summer, Malick Thiaw from Schalke 04 (8.8 million euros), the Rossoneri management agreed to pay 400,000 euros in commissions to the agents. Much lower were the fees paid to the agents of Junior Messias for his arrival from Crotone: 125,000 euros. It's a different story when it comes to Alessandro Florenzi, represented by Alessandro Lucci's World Soccer Agency: the work done in the transition from Roma to Milan cost AC Milan club just over 433,000 euros. Despite being purchased the previous year, there is mention of Yacine Adli by the source: the compensation received by the agents was 300,000 euros. A similar amount was paid by Milan for the arrival of the last player on a permanent basis in the 2022/2023 transfer market, Devis Vasquez: just over 267,000 euros. In total, the figure is 4.82 million euros.
But this summer, there was another major "internal" transfer deal that Milan concluded. On June 2, Milan extended the contract of their star, Rafael Leao, until 2028, resolving the fine issue with Lille. Again, according to information from the Radio Rossonera team, the commission that the AC Milan club recognized for the agents of the Portuguese star for the agreement that bound him to the Rossoneri colours was 1,818,182 million euros, a relatively low figure considering the standards we have become accustomed to in recent years for contract renewals of some stars. Whether it's to Antonio Leao, Jorge Mendes, or French lawyer Ted Dimvula, Milan recognized Rafael Leao's agents with a sum just under 2 million euros for the successful contract renewal.
Although it is technically part of the 2023/2024 transfer market, the acquisition of Ruben Loftus-Cheek was recorded on June 29, 2023, thus becoming part of the 22/23 budget. For the arrival of the Englishman born in 1996 from Chelsea, Milan paid 925,000 euros in commissions to the agents of the English National Team player.
