In today's edition of Tuttosport, there is talk about Zlatan Ibrahimovic's future. The Swede does not close the door in a potential return to Milan, but this time as part of the management.
The former footballer does not want to be some kind of a figure 'poster boy' and Milan are well aware of this. In the talks he had with Gerry Cardinale and the rest of the Milan managers, no one has put forward an offer for a trivial and marginal role.
The Rossoneri ownership would like him in close contact with the team, but also with the management. A position that is usually called "club-manager" today, but Cardinale - who imagines Ibra also involved in his extra-football activities, maybe as an actor... - would like an Ibra even more involved in Milan: a man capable of keeping the ship on course at Milanello in support of Pioli and sometimes even of supporting (if deemed appropriate) Furlani, Moncada and D'Ottavio in negotiations to convince certain players to join the Rossoneri project. In fact, an Ibra like Maldini, to put it bluntly, even if with different duties and a more restricted freedom.
For now, Ibrahimovic is working on his own projects and activities. But, the negotiations continue with AC Milan. Perhaps we can expect some updates after christmas.
