AC Milan will play against Juventus this coming Sunday and it will surely be a very difficult task for both teams who must get a positive result. The international break ends, and the players start to return to their respective teams. Pioli welcomes back his stars and he can now prepare for the much anticipated clash against Juventus with more certainties.
The players who played yesterday (the three Frenchmen Theo, Maignan, and Giroud, who played matches in America, Tomori, and Kjaer) will clearly use Wednesday to return to Italy, while Leao and Reijnders, who played on Monday, will have another day of rest today. The best news for Pioli, however, is that there are no new injuries. The international break did not cause any physical problems for any of the 13 involved, except for Okafor, who had suffered a slight head injury on his return from Genoa.
Considering these good news and the possible recoveries of Loftus-Cheek, Krunic, and Kalulu in the coming days at Milanello, Pioli could field the following lineup against Juventus:
Sportiello in goal (Maignan is suspended), Calabria on the right and Florenzi on the left (Theo is suspended) with Thiaw and Tomori in central defense, Krunic in midfield with Loftus-Cheek and Reijnders as midfielders, and Leao up front with Pulisic and Giroud.
