La Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted the fact that, against Juventus this coming Sunday, Milan's Theo Hernandez will not be available due to the yellow card he received against Genoa in his latest Serie A match. Instead, Alessandro Florenzi will start on the left flank.
Theo will definitely be missed and the responsibility is only his: 5 yellow cards in only 5 matches is too much and some of the situations which led to being booked could have certainly been avoidable: it is not something expected from a high caliber player, writes the newspaper.
Florenzi has started the season well, but he's a very different player, he's never had Hernandez's pace, and certainly can't have it at the age of 32.
Rafael Leao will miss his usual partner in crime, and Milan, against a defense often set up like Juve's, won't be able to rely on the improvisations of their number 19, who almost always creates chances with his one-on-one dribbles. However, Florenzi fits very well in the wing-midfielder role Pioli has in mind. He played in the middle of the field for years and still has midfielder instincts. In construction, he can definitely help.
