The former AC Milan midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has released statements, reported by the French portal L’Equipe, regarding his choice to sign with Lorient. A look at the recent past, Milan, and the future with the French club: here are some of his words.
"Last year, I didn't have the playing time I wanted. There were many factors at play. I don't have much to say about why I didn't play. The coach (Pioli) made choices. There was a lot of disappointment, that's for sure. A footballer's career is made up of ups and downs."
Bakayoko added:
"I took things as they came and tried to be as serious as possible in training or when I was called upon, even if not often. It was a very difficult season, but I want to leave it behind and focus on the present."
