Stefano Pioli, the Rossoneri coach, expressed himself on Prime after PSG-Milan:
"It's a heavy result. I believe the team did everything they had to do, but from a technical point of view, we needed to play a better game. They outperformed us technically, capitalizing on opportunities. In the first half, we recovered many balls, but in the second, we lost too many and conceded a second ugly goal."
Did Pulisic miss the goal due to excessive thinking?
"I haven't spoken to Pulisic, maybe he didn't realize his man was far away... They also put pressure on us, it wasn't easy to play cleanly. They punished us at the right moments of the match; we can play better games."
Are you worried?
"You're always concerned when you lose two games in a row. I've seen things we can do better, so we need to try to raise our level. It's not over, but we need to refocus on the championship first and think about Napoli."
Was there a mental drop after the 60th minute? Pioli replied:
"For 60 minutes, we put on a great performance, even playing better than PSG. Then we dropped. It's disappointing because it was an important match. I can't blame my players for their attitude; they did what we had prepared, but they were technically superior to us."
