AC Milan loses and does poorly: a movie already seen before. Pioli's team struggles to prove its worth against the top clubs this season. There is so much tension among the fans and La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper writes that there should be solutions soon.
AC Milan must find new tactical ways to dominate
Tactical reflections are imposed after yet another defeat this season which definitely complicates Pioli's life as he should aim towards qualifying to the next stage of the Champions League competition.

For Pioli, it is clear that high pressure with a high defensive block, almost at the midfield area is not the way to go against teams with quick transitions in attack (especially if they have Mbappé). The result was seen very quickly: two yellow cards in seven minutes for the Rossoneri, which conditioned the approach to defend against the French team the other night and ultimately led to the 3-0 result.
This high defence cost Milan valuable points in the league as well when Thiaw had to make a foul when caught offguard by Kean's acceleration. As the last man, he received a red card and AC Milan had to play with only 10 men for just over half of the match.
For Pioli, the logic is simple: a more defensive approach is not in the nature of his players, especially the new ones. It must be said, however, that in the three real big matches of the season, the game plan prepared by the coach has never worked.
AC Milan must overcome another big test in Napoli...
After losing three big games, Pioli must find the real cure to this 'illness'. But, it must be pointed out that if the team has not scored in the Champions League at all this season, then surely it's not Pioli's fault only, writes La Gazzetta dello Sport. Help must arrive from the player who should put in more effort in trying to convert some clear goal scoring chances.
Against Napoli, it's a great chance for redemption. The fans demand a much better performance, because the challenge with Paris Saint-Germain at the San Siro stadium is not too far in the calendar.
