In a press conference held today at Milanello, the AC Milan head coach, Stefano Pioli, was asked about Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Here are his words about the situation of the former Chelsea midfielder who is still working to reach a full recovery:
"He's important for our offensive phase in terms of physicality and quality, but we also have other characteristics and we can be dangerous even without him. He has recovered from the injury he had in that specific muscle, the pectineus, now he's suffering from a pubic/abdominal inflammation. Every day he seems to be getting better, he just needs to take the final step to return to the team, he definitely won't be with us tomorrow."
Pioli continued to talk about Ruben Loftus-Cheek:
"There's a good chance he'll recover for the next match. Unfortunately, from a psychological point of view, he's a guy who has had many injuries in the past, so he needs a bit of guidance and support. He started really well, and now he needs a bit of support." (to read full press conference, click here)
