After the 2-2 draw against Napoli, Olivier Giroud, who appeared angry and frustrated when taken off the field by choice from AC Milan coach Pioli, said these words to Milan TV:
"I'm a bit frustrated, and angry about this result because we had the game in our hands. In the first half, I think we could have scored four goals. At halftime, we told ourselves to be ready for the second half and that they would play a different game. We're frustrated."
Giroud concludes:
"When they scored the first goal, they gained confidence and we didn't know whether to continue attacking or defending. I'm disappointed today. Starting point? Yes, after the two defeats, but we're talking about the Scudetto and we needed to take 3 points today. I'm disappointed tonight. We train to win matches. We wanted to react after the losses, we started the game well and created many chances, but we need to be even more demanding with ourselves. It's a shame, we should have won this game."
