Pioli's AC Milan are once again facing a classic autumn injury crisis, with seven players currently struggling with problems, at least four or five of which are muscular, as reported by Milan Press.
In addition to the long-term absentees Bennacer and Caldara, three new injuries were sustained last night at the Maradona stadium against Napoli: Pierre Kalulu, Marco Pellegrino and Christian Pulisic. The extent of the Frenchman's quadriceps contusion is not yet clear, while Marco Pellegrino has a bad ankle sprain and Christian Pulisic has a flexor strain. All three will be evaluated in the coming days.
Also out are Marco Sportiello (medial twin injury), Simon Kjaer (fatigue), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (abdominal inflammation) and Samuel Chukwueze (hamstring injury). There is a chance that Kjaer and Loftus-Cheek could return against Udinese.
This is a major blow for Milan, who are currently third in Serie A and also competing in the Champions League. Coach Stefano Pioli will have to find creative solutions to deal with the crisis, but it is likely to have a significant impact on the team's performance in the coming weeks.
