Arrigo Sacchi commented on AC Milan's performance against Napoli at the Maradona stadium in the pages of La Gazzetta dello Sport, as usual. The former Rossoneri tactician shared his opinion by publishing this statement:
"Many predict a duel between Inter and Juve for the title, and maybe it will indeed end up that way. However, I believe that Milan, at least the Milan we saw on Sunday night in Napoli, is in the midst of a real fight. After two consecutive defeats, the Rossoneri had the strength and courage to react. Against Napoli, they played an excellent first half, during which they could have scored at least three or four goals. I finally saw a compact, attentive, dynamic team. Even though they're not completely healed yet, Pioli's team is on the path to improvement."
Sacchi then added:
"Let's look at the schedule: the Rossoneri have a better one compared to Inter and Juve, who, moreover, will have to face each other and therefore take points off each other. It's true that they're hanging by a thread in the Champions League, but it's equally true that in the league, they have a gap that can be easily closed, and if they improve their game, they have ample room for improvement."
