AC Milan's coach, Stefano Pioli, has spoken to the microphones of Milan TV after the 2-2 draw against Lecce at the Via del Mare stadium.
Here are his statements:
"Judgment cannot be passed on the two halves. We are at fault. You cannot play only 60 minutes. We lost a double advantage due to our carelessness and faults. A flaw that has been repeating in the recent games. We could have closed it, but these are situations on which we need to work, intervene. They are penalising us too much in the league standings."
This is after a strong victory against Paris Saint-Germain:
"From the match against PSG, we should only carry with us the positive aspects. I liked the approach; it was that of a mature team. We cannot unravel so much, given our qualities and mutual understanding. The opponents can always score a goal. We must not repeat it."
On the increasing gap in points from Inter and Juventus:
"We know that we are lacking in the league, and we need to remedy that. We need to earn many points. The match against Fiorentina is important, at home, three days after a Champions League match, but we have to get back to winning in the league because it's been a while since we won."
